Annual Byng Alumni Reunion Planned

The annual Byng Alumni Reunion is scheduled for June 20, 2009, which is the next to the last Saturday in June.

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria with the banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 each. This year, the class of 1959 is being honored.

The committee members consists of the following: Betty Owens Allred, president; Adrianna Lancaster, vice-president; and Pat Overton Luper, secretary-treasurer. Others on the planning committee include Lou Ann Cantrell McVay, Retha Cantrell Robbins, Si Taylor, Debbie Deaton Christian, LaRuth Parker Meeks, and Jane Walker Burchett, and John Burchett.

The committee would appreciate any input from alumni on the planning for this year. Previously the meal has been the following: ham, green beans, salad, baked potato, rolls, apple and cherry cobbler, and tea. If anyone has a suggestion for the meal or would like to assist on decorating the dining hall, please contact Betty Allred at allred@byngschools.com. Reservations can also be made at the same web site. The reservations will be passed along to Jane Walker Burchett and Wayne Joplin who are in charge of contacting members of the 1959 class.
